Dark & Fruity
This premium cask ale has a strong following throughout the country. Courage Directors was originally brewed exclusively for the Directors of the Alton brewery, but following public demand, the beer was made available to the public.
It is genuine premium beer, pale brown in appearance with a deep rich taste.
Star - Portobello Brewery
Amber & Malty
Maris Otter Pale Ale, Caramalt and Crystal Malt give a beer with a smooth mouthfeel and hints of roasted malt and coffee. Good fullness and floral berry/fruity late hop give a beautifully balanced bitter.

A refreshing golden bitter brimming with character…not to mention citrus hops and fruit. Made with 100% Maris Otter malt, and brewed using a single variety hop…English Fuggles. A malty fresh vitality gives way to a full bitter sweet finish…pure Gold!
Courage Best Bitter

With over 200 years of brewing pedigree, Courage Best Bitter retains its widespread popularity. Best is available in both cask and keg meaning even if your local isn't a cask beer stockist, you can still enjoy the great taste of Courage Best.
Pale brown in appearance with a bitter after taste, Courage Best Bitter consumers enjoy its lower ABV of 4% that allows them the opportunity to enjoy their favourite ale for longer.
Courage Best Bitter is also a major sponsor of rugby union clubs including the Plymouth Pirates and the Exeter Chiefs and sponsors local events within its south west of England heartland.
Building on the long heritage of Courage, the iconic 'Take Courage' slogan, which has been used for over 50 years, was given a new lease of life with a £2m advertising campaign.
The three adverts show Courage as a beer for 'every man,' in which 'our hero' is shown in situations where he can be seen thinking he would rather be down the pub drinking a pint of Courage.
Amber & Bitter
A true award winning best bitter with universal appeal. Tiger Best Bitter is a classic example of getting the perfect balance between sweetness and bitterness. Crystal malt gives the beer its rounded toffee character.
Fridge Magnet Ale
Golden & Malty
Medium bodied and highly hopped, this beer has a hint of tangy fruity at the start, with an assertive hop crispness and a long malty palate.
Lancaster Bomber - Thwaites Brewery
Brown & Malty
Award winning full-bodied chestnut coloured ale with an inviting malty aroma and warming aftertaste. A classic English ale, with a lovely, full-bodied flavour, enriched with a wonderful late hop character.
Wight Christmas - Island Brewery
Ruby & Fruity
A special festive ale, brewed using speciality Munich and malted oats to give a rich malty
flavour. Modestly hopped with British Goldings and Bramling Cross hops with the addition
of chocolate malt for that extra Christmas treat. This red to amber ale is just what you
were dreaming of, go on, treat yourself.
